Participation in this high school wind ensemble allows students to broaden their wind band experience. Open to woodwind, brass, and percussion students in grades 9-12.

This program includes an intensive 5-week rehearsal schedule on Saturdays from 12:00 to 2:30 pm, January 9-February 6, 2027. The program ends with a final concert on February 6, 2027 at 7:30 pm in the Hochstein Performance Hall.

The recommended minimum NYSSMA levels are as follows:

Level 6: Piccolo, flute, timpani, snare drum
Level 5: Oboe, all clarinets, bassoon, all saxophones, trumpet, French horn, trombone, euphonium, tuba, keyboard percussion

The deadline to apply is Monday, October 26, 2026. Applications after the deadline are evaluated on a “space available” basis. Application results are emailed by mid-November and music is mailed to accepted students by mid-December.
