Bringing together guitarists who want to build reading and performance skills, this ensemble explores Renaissance, Baroque, classical, and contemporary music. Fresh arrangements and transcriptions are regularly developed for the group, and parts are graded so that new members can join without feeling they’ve missed the boat. Participants need to read beyond the basic “hunt and pluck,” and must have a classical, nylon string guitar. A placement assessment is required to join the ensemble.
