Due to the increased rate of COVID-19 cases in the Rochester area, WXXI is taking strict precautionary measures to ensure the safety of their hosts and production staff. As a result, WXXI Classical 91.5 FM will not broadcast live from The Hochstein School.
In its place, WXXI will air an encore of “Gathering Light in Sound and Word” with the Telos Trio (Rita George Simmons, flute; Debbie Grohman, clarinet; and Willie LaFavor, piano), which was originally broadcast in April 2019. The Telos Trio brings together music with other areas of life – spirituality, poetry, civic events, and visual art – with the hope of inspiring people and bringing them into connecting conversations.
The originally scheduled program with cellist Natalie Spehar has been rescheduled for December 9.
The Hochstein School’s lunchtime Live from Hochstein concert series will be broadcast live on WXXI Classical 91.5/90.3 FM and hosted by WXXI Classical 91.5’s Mona Seghatoleslami.
Please note that because of health and safety guidelines during the pandemic, the fall concert series will be broadcast without a live audience in the Performance Hall.
