Patrick Corvington holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Florida State University and a Master of Music in Trumpet Performance from The Shepherd School of Music at Rice University.
As an orchestral player, Corvington has performed with the Buffalo Philharmonic, Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, Syracuse Opera, Symphoria, and the Houston Symphony, among others. Until his relocation to Rochester in 2015, Corvington was Third Trumpet in the Hawaii Symphony Orchestra, and he continues as Third Trumpet in the Des Moines Metro Opera Orchestra.
As a trumpet teacher, he has previously taught at Hawaii Pacific University and Roberts Community Music School, and he is currently teaching at Eastman Community Music School and SUNY Geneseo. Corvington has also taught privately in Hawaii, Florida, and Texas.
