Special Yoga Topic Workshops!

Join Sandra Boysen Sluberski – an RYT-500 yoga instructor registered with Yoga Alliance – for one or all of these one-day or short-term yoga classes at Hochstein!

Note: Each of these classes is being offered in person, but students who wish can also take the class(es) virtually.

 

The Ten Avatars of Vishnu

1-Day Workshop: Saturday, March 19, 2022
1:00-3:00 pm

Yoga, mantras, mudras and mythology based on the 10 forms of Vishnu on earth throughout the millennia in Hindu culture.

Materials: A non-slip yoga mat is recommended.

FEE: $25 (Fee is as of Winter 2022.)

 

Yoga Mythology

Quarter 4 class: 9 Fridays, April 15-June 17, 2022
1:00-2:00 pm

Each one-hour class opens with a different mythological character’s story from Hindu mythology, followed by a 45-minute yoga sequence which allows YOU, the participant, to tell the story of the myth with the different yoga poses you’ll embody! Most classes will involve a mantra (chant) which ties in with the story. If you’re a fan of superheroes, gods and goddesses, and fantastic creatures, this class is for you!

Required equipment: a yoga mat and two yoga blocks (available at any sporting goods store, Target, or Wegmans).

FEE: $10 registration fee, 153 tuition; $117 for students enrolled in individual lessons at Hochstein. (Fee is as of Winter 2022.)

 

Moon Reflections

1-Day Workshop: Saturday, April 30, 2022 - PLEASE NOTE NEW DATE
1:00-3:00 pm

Yoga, mantras, mudras, and mythology centered around the Moon (Chandra) in Hindu culture and mythology.

Materials: A non-slip yoga mat is recommended.

FEE: $25 (Fee is as of Winter 2022.)
