Continuing Students, Age 5: Fridays, 4:00-4:40 pm
Please note that the day of the week is a change from what was printed in the fall catalog – the class is now on Fridays, not Thursdays.
The irresistible stuffed animals, Beethoven Bear and Mozart Mouse, assist your child in his/her first introduction and exploration of the piano, and form the core of this innovative and exciting program! Weekly small-group sessions are supplemented by three 20-minute individual lessons each 9-week quarter. These individual lessons will be arranged with the teacher and parent and are generally scheduled around the group class times. Parent is expected to attend the last 10 minutes of each group session and to assist the child in practice at home. Each child must purchase a learning packet which includes a CD, lesson book, workbook, discovery book, and, of course, Beethoven Bear and Mozart Mouse! Materials can be purchased by calling Atlas Music at (585) 671-2020 or through various online resources. Atlas will deliver your music to Hochstein so it is ready for your first class meeting.
Acoustic piano (or a digital piano with 88 full-size, weighted keys) in the home is required for piano lessons.
FEE: $20 registration fee; $32* fee per class, payable in quarterly installments of $288. For students enrolled in Little Mozarts at Hochstein, families pay $54 per quarter for one Music FUNdamentals or Children’s Dance class, and reduced fees for Choir or other ensembles. (Fees are as of Fall 2016)
