Ballet Teacher for Young Children

 

The Hochstein School seeks a dynamic ballet teacher for children ages 3-6 to cover six classes:

 

CLASSES
Tuesdays:

Mini Ballerinas/Creative Danceurs (ages 3-4): 4:15-5:00 pm

Pre-Ballet (ages 5-6): 5:15-6:00 pm


Wednesdays:

Pre-Ballet (ages 5-6): 4:15-5:00 pm

Mini-Ballerinas/Creative Danseurs (ages 3-4): 5:15-6:00

 

Saturdays:
Mini-Ballerinas/Creative Danseurs (ages 3-4): 9:15-10:00 am

Pre-Ballet (ages 5-6): 10:00-10:45 am
 

Duties: Planning and teaching 45-minute age-appropriate classes designed to nurture, encourage, and inspire children ages 3-6 to love dance!

 

Qualifications:

  • Enthusiastic, energetic, engaging personality
  • Strong foundation in ballet technique
  • Ability to demonstrate the highest level of ballet technique; performance experience highly desirable
  • Creative, flexible, child-centered approach to teaching
  • Ability to create a welcoming, healthy, safe learning environment
  • Experience in working with young children
  • Ability to design and create class curricula and performance presentations
  • Effective communication skills, oral and written
  • Attitude of collaboration

 

Hourly compensation based on qualifications and experience.

 

Position available September 2017. Hochstein classes run September – June (36 weeks). Similar classes are also offered on weekdays during our 6-week summer session. The ideal candidate will be available for both the school year and summer program.
